Mt. Baker Spring Events
Golden Egg Hunt, Baker Break spring break week with on-mountain camping and evening skiing, and closing weekend on North America's snowiest mountain.
About the event
Mt. Baker holds one of the highest average annual snowpacks of any ski area in North America and the world record for most snow in a single season (1,140 inches in 1998–99). Spring brings a series of family events through April on this exceptional mountain.
The Golden Egg Hunt (April 4) is an all-ages hunt across Chairs 4, 5, 7 & 8. The grand prize is a 2026–27 Mt. Baker season pass. Separate Kids Hunt for ages 10 and under (10–10:30 AM) and Beginner Kids Hunt for ages 7 and under (11–11:30 AM). Free with a lift ticket.
What to expect
Baker Break (April 6–10) extends evening skiing until 7:30 PM Thursday and Friday. On-mountain camping at White Salmon lodge is $15/person/night and includes dinner and evening programming: game nights, a family movie on the lodge patio, live music, bonfire, and s'mores. Reservations must be made by April 4.
Classic Pacific Northwest spring ski culture — deep snowpack, relaxed atmosphere, and family events on a mountain known for record-setting snowfall. Baker Break draws families for a rare chance to camp on the mountain mid-ski-season.
